The Department of Economics provides Honours and General Courses in Economics in Undergraduate level. Practical classes on Computer Application are held and supervision for Project Work is also done by the teachers of the department in accordance with the course curriculum of the University. UGC sponsored research projects are undertaken by the department and arrangement is made for participation of students in these projects to give them a first-hand experience of field survey and statistical analysis of data.
